From Scratch is the ten-song album between Psalm Trees and ALEXANDER. This half-hour listening experience samples and reworks the duo's new jazz album, Spirit of Naima. Treating the live instrumentation as a playground for sample flipping, the two have crafted both a jazz album and a jazz hop album. Starting from scratch, one step at a time, from beginning to end.

As Psalm Trees creating was From Scratch, he also sent Spirit of Naima to producer friends (Swum, Moods, Philanthrope and more), who in turn crafted their own takes on the jazzy samples. The From Scratch: Remixes project will be released sometime in early 2025, yet you’ll get exclusive pre-release access to the remixes by purchasing this vinyl, which contains all nine of them on its B Side.
